A villa in Brescia of ample respite

September 2014

A detached villa: a large day zone, no longer adequate for family needs, a complete re-think.

More ample spaces give a new air to the home. The kitchen was enlarged and the dining area consequently restyled thanks to the insertion of a large glass wall to divide the spaces. A thick but luminous partition was instead erected to accommodate kitchen cupboards on one side and to provide space for shelves in the living area as well as wardrobe space.

A luminous kitchen and continuity with the dining area are guaranteed by the alternation of vertical cuts in transparent glass and others in dove-grey Lacobel to house the containers. The kitchen, modified in this way, allows room to insert a central island for breakfast and quick meals.

The whole floor of the day zone was coated with a clear resin, emphasizing the original luminosity of the space and rendering uniform all the rooms.
