New attire for the Viola showroom in Palazzolo sull’Oglio

August 2007

A historical commercial space for a showroom dedicated to footwear… with a new vocation for clothing.

The main choices in restyling were the recovery of some of the original furnishings that had always characterised these premises, but with greater attention to valorising the shop windows in order to display both shoes and clothing.
Large wooden C’s were inserted, about 70 cm deep, free standing and skilfully separated from the shop windows, containing within all the necessary for valorising and displaying the product: illumination with flat embedded spotlights, hangers and shelves. All set up in a flexible way to allow different configurations and concepts to suit the moment.

Inside the showroom, a new stairway was created to connect with the upper floor, a new space annexed to the shop and dedicated to clothing, providing the excuse to reconsider the cash desk and the spaces for trying on shoes.

Three floating islands were also created, provided with poufs, on the new resin floor; between them, a ring of soft carpeting, in nuance, to delineate the trying-on area.
